Olukai makes awesome footwear. The arch support makes walking a dream. The materials and craftsmanship are top quality. Will love wearing these during the cooler weather as the will keep my feet toasty warm. Highly recommend.

I typically wear a women’s size 9, medium width (I wear women’s size 10 medium in Brooks running shoes ). My longest foot measures exactly ten inches in length. I always wear a size 9 in OluKai sandals. I ordered the OluKai Malua Hulu short boot because it is lined with warm wooly sheepskin and because it is waterproof. I though this short boot would be warm and cozy and dry during coastal California winters. The boot was a bit difficult to get on my feet. Perhaps I have a high instep? The elastic on the sides of the boot helped somewhat, but it took some work to get the boots on over my arches — it wasn’t an easy slip on fit. The size 9 boot was long enough for each of my feet, and the width was fine, not too narrow or too wide. I tried them on with thin wool socks (unpadded) and there was still plenty of room inside the shoe (but it would have been even more difficult to get this boot on my feet if I had worn medium thickness wool socks). But, there was one serious problem: the top front edge of the boot, near the ankle (the front upper part where the sheep’s wool shows), pushed into the front part of my upper foot/ankle and was very uncomfortable. I walked about 40 feet across my living room and back again and it was obvious that this part of the boot was not going to get softer with time. With each step, the top edge of the boot dug into my foot. So, I sent the boots back. Also, on the inside of one boot, it felt like the sheepskin was stitched together from the toe of the shoe up to the top of the arch area. I couldn’t feel this stitching while the boot was on my foot, but I could feel it under my fingers inside of the boot. I’m not sure that this detail is important.
The boot is beautiful, but wasn’t a good fit for my feet.

Love them. Comfortable , warm , and cute. I vary from 7 to 7.5 on shoes. Had to return the 7.5 and get the 7. They fit perfect

The right bootie felt way looser/wider than the left so sadly I am returning. Perhaps the result of someone trying them on?? Would have kept them otherwise.

These super comfy boots kept this California girl’s feet toasty warm during a Midwest winter trip! 10 degrees out? No problem! It was SO cold, but my feet stayed warm and dry the entire trip. I have plantar fasciitis and live in Paniolo flips year-round, but these are my new cold weather go to shoes. I bought the tan and I’m back to buy the black pair now! Thanks Olukai and Zappos!!

Fit was pretty true to size — I’m between a 7.5 and an 8, I purchased these in an 8 so I could wear with socks. These shoes are super cute and I have LOVED other shoes I’ve purchased from OluKai. As other reviewers mentioned, however, these shoes dug into my instep when walking. It wasn’t horribly painful but annoying enough to where it was noticeable, especially if you plan to do a lot of walking in these. They also didn’t have much arch support so that was disappointing as well. I couldn’t justify keeping them given the price so I returned.

The front tongue of the shoe cut my ankle off in a weird place, and had no give when I walked, so it felt like giant blisters waiting to happen every time I walked. Wish OluKai would bring back my old slipper model. I should have bought five pairs!

I bought these boots to replace an old pair of Uggs. These are just awesome. Fashionable bootie style. sporty white sole, arch support, easy to get on & off & warm! I have a narrow foot & they fit me perfect but a heads up to those who have need a wider width (especially in the heel).

Exactly what I was looking for!!! A comfortable, cozy, shoe I can easily slip on for walking the dog. I have problem feet so it’s challenging to find shoes that meet all my criteria. These were perfect.

Very nice and well made shoe. It requires quite a bit of effort to get your foot in the shoe but, once in, it’s quite comfortable. Runs a smidge large.

I have only worn these once because they are very warm and it’s still too hot outside, but they felt really comfortable and are cute. I’m used to UGGs, which are more comfortable, in my opinion, because they have the fur on the bottom of the foot as well as the top. Those only have fur on the top side of the foot. They do have a removable insole which is cool, but I don’t like the feel of the insole material on my bare foot. So then I want to wear a sock, but then you don’t feel the nice fur. But I like them enough to keep (at the sale price). My mom and MIL also bought them at the sale price and are happy with them so far.

I loved these, they’re super comfortable. I think they look good, too. They are extremely warm, which isn’t what I’m looking for, so I actually returned them but I didn’t really want to, they’re very nice. It’s just not cold enough here for them.

I must have gotten a defective pair. They came in a plain brown box and no tags. They are like walking on a hardwood floor. No softness in the footbed at all. They are super cute, warm and look nice, but I wouldn’t be able to walk in them for very long. Sadly I have to return.

Wanted to love these, I had wanted them for a long time but tried them just in the house a few different times and was not comfortable where the top front of the shoe hit my ankle it was not comfortable.

The leather is so stiff I cannot bend my feet! Very unwearable. I have this same shoe in tan and they are perfect. What happened?

Hmmm … I ordered a half size larger than my normal size as the other reviews suggested, but these shoes were still too small and tight. And it is really hard to get them on since there’s no zipper. Darn! They are really cute and I wish they worked for me.
